The south of Croatia has always been one of the most popular tourist destinations. Maybe it’s the location. We all know that good things take time, and that the most beautiful places are the ones that take the longest to get to. And maybe it’s because of the incredible beauty that encircles the whole area. From the Pelješac peninsula, through the coastal towns and all the way to the islands. Either way, your stay in the Dubrovnik region will not disappoint you.
Korčula, Mljet and Lastovo are three islands that adorn the Dubrovnik region. If we had to tell you which one is the most special, we wouldn’t be able to decide. So it’s best to visit all three. On each of them you will be welcomed by a clear sea in at least 5 shades of blue, an incredible richness of the underwater world, a dense pine forest and a night sky filled with millions of stars. And we must not forget to mention the city of Dubrovnik as the center of the region. The unique features of this city are difficult to summarize in one or two sentences, so we invite you to visit the Dubrovnik region today and discover all its charms.
So that you can visit all of the above (and believe us, it is by no means all), we recommend that you rent a mobile home, which will be the starting point of your exploration. In the Dubrovnik region there are fully equipped mobile homes by the sea, as well as glamping tents that will provide you with a special camping experience.

Pelješac is the second largest Croatian peninsula and is a favorite destination for gourmands and lovers of active vacation. In the Bay of Mali Ston there is an oyster and mussel farm, delicacies that you can taste all over the peninsula – freshly caught, of course. This can be accompanied by a glass of Plavac wine, whose grapes ripened in the sunny vineyards of Pelješac. Along the southern side of the peninsula lies the Pelješac channel, which is considered a paradise for surfers due to the favorable winds. You may or may not try kite surfing and windsurfing, but you can certainly enjoy the view. From the terrace of your own mobile home, preferably in the first row to the sea. And you can find such accommodation in the campsites on Pelješac.
The island of Korčula can be called the pearl of the southern Adriatic for several reasons. The first is certainly the sea. Clean, dense, blue sea that invites you to plunge into its depths and swim across its expanse. Another is the perfectly preserved historical towns, the most prominent of which is Korčula. In addition to the impressive walls that surround the old town, there are also ideally arranged alleys that once protected the town from invaders and now protect it from the wind. The third is the environment. In the immediate vicinity of Korčula there are numerous islands and islets whose charms you can discover on one of the many hop-on hop-off boat tours. To the north lies Pelješac, to the south the island of Lastovo and to the east the island of Mljet. Can it possibly be better? Maybe it can, if you decide to complete your arrival on the island with a stay in a mobile home. Fully equipped, with a Mediterranean touch, in the silence of a pine forest – they are waiting just for you.
What can be written about Dubrovnik that hasn’t already been said and written countless times? There are really no words to describe the uniqueness and greatness of this historic city. We will mention the imposing city walls, which offer a spectacular view of the entire city and the endless blue sea. Then Stradun, the main street of the old town, which connects the two city gates. Duke’s Palace, Sponza Palace, Orlando’s Column, Lazaret. The breakwater on Porporela, which has several roles – the main meeting place for young and old, a swimming place and a place with the most beautiful view of the island of Lokrum. And of the midday sun that flashes on the surface of the sea. And how can you not want to stay in this wonderful environment? In the comfort of your own mobile home, with a spacious terrace for all-day enjoyment. Come and see for yourself – Dubrovnik is a truly special place.

The Dubrovnik region is not only famous for its unbelievably beautiful landscape, but also for its well-preserved folk customs and traditions. If you come to this region, in addition to nature, you will be able to enjoy the scenes that will take you back a few centuries, to simpler times.
If you visit the city of Dubrovnik, you should not miss a performance of “linđo” dance, which has been the most popular dance of the region for 2 centuries. It is danced in pairs, accompanied by an ancient musical instrument called “lijerica”. Apart from Dubrovnik, it is also danced on Mljet, Lastovo, Pelješac and in eastern Herzegovina. However, the most special experience is the performance of “linđo” on Dubrovnik’s Stradun, which in itself exudes a special atmosphere. Which becomes even more special when the dance steps echo through the street.
The island of Korčula is specific for the knightly dance “Moreška”, which dates back to the 12th century. This romantic dance with swords is performed only in the town of Korčula during the summer months.
Pelješac and Lastovo cherish customs related to the season of Easter and carnival. There is a folk custom established on Pelješac, which is practiced not only during the carnival season, but also at weddings. It is called “bijeli maškari”, and it consists of a procession in which the participants cover their faces with white scarves. This procession is also characterized by a dance with swords, and one of its essential parts is a rich meal. However, one of the most exceptional carnival customs, which has been declared an intangible cultural asset, is the Lastovo “Poklad”. It is held every year in the town of Lastovo and is known for its rich program that lasts for a month. It usually begins either on the feast of the Three Kings or on the feast of St. Anthony and ends on Ash Wednesday. This spectacle is best experienced in person, and in order to prepare well, study the official pages of “Lastovo carnival“.
