I wish to go on a camping holiday in Croatia. Do I have to stay at a registered campsite?
Camping outside registered campsites in Croatia is punishable and not allowed. Croatia has many different styles of campsites, as well as in camper van/caravan rest areas, which can be found at the entrance to the campsite itself.
I need an overnight stay on my way to the desired destination. What is the alternative to staying at a campsite?
If you are looking for one night accommodation, in Croatia you will find numerous
caravan rest areas. Apart from the pitches for camper vans/caravans, rest areas also dispose with sanitary points and areas for disposal of portable chemical toilets. They offer the comfort of a one night stay at reasonable prices.
Is it necessary to book accommodation at the campsite I wish to stay in?
You can also stay at a campsite without a previous reservation, but we would certainly recommend that you book your accommodation beforehand at the desired campsite. Of course. Each campsite has its own house rules and code of conduct during the stay.
Which accommodation units at the campsite can I choose for my holiday?
If you wish to stay in your own tent, camper van or caravan, the campsite pitches are ideal for you. The pitches are of varied equipment and infrastructure and you can book them according to different categories. You like staying in nature but do not have own caravan – our recommendation is staying in mobile homes or glamping tents – accommodation units fitted with modern equipment, which are increasingly represented at campsites throughout Croatia.
What facilities do campsites provide?
Depending on the campsite and the category it belongs to, campsites offer different facilities to their guests. The basic facilities of all campsites are equipped sanitary points, arranged beaches, restaurants and sports facilities.
Are animation activities at campsites charged for?
No. In principle, animation activities for the campsite guests are free of charge. Animation teams organise sports, entertainment and creative workshops for children and adults between the months of June and September, although, at some campsites, animation activities are available for the whole duration of the campsite opening period.
Are campsites far from the beaches?
The campsites which are situated on the coast are mostly located right by the sea. At the campsites, you will find arranged beaches: paved, rocky, pebble or sandy.
Do campsites have Internet connections?
Although campsites guarantee escape from everyday life, you will not have to flee from one little thing. Today, the majority of campsites ensure Internet connection to their guests. Some campsites are entirely covered with Wi-Fi Internet, others have Wi-Fi only in certain locations within the campsite (certain pitches or mobile homes), while some others ensure Internet connection at reception or have so-called Internet corners within the campsite. Internet connection at campsites may also be at extra charge, although the majority of campsites tend to provide their guests with Wi-Fi free of charge.

Is tap water in Croatia safe for drinking or do we need to buy bottled water?
There is no need to buy bottled water. Tap water is safe for drinking throughout Croatia.
Is a deposit needed for reservation of an accommodation unit within the campsite?

How to book? Are there doctor's surgeries at campsites?
If there is no doctor’s surgery at the campsite itself, it will be only a few kilometres away. You can find accurate information on whether there is a doctor’s surgery at the campsite of your choice on the campsite’s website.
I am a disabled person. Are the accommodation units and other campsite facilities adapted for my use?
The majority of campsites are adapted for use by disabled persons. Access to the beach, sanitary points, entrances to reception and restaurants and entry into the swimming pool are the main campsite points which are adapted for disabled persons. You can find accurate information on whether the campsite of your choice is adapted for use by disabled persons on the campsite’s website. Due to the limited interior space, accommodation units such as mobile homes are not adapted for use by disabled persons. Who is allowed to enter naturist campsites? If I don't have a partner, can I stay on my own at the naturist campsite?
Entry to
naturist campsites is allowed to all those who wish to enjoy the blend of nature and naturism, provided they hold the membership card of the INF or any other naturist association. Families who do not hold the INF card are also welcome. Single people are denied entry to naturist campsites unless they hold the INF card.
I wish to stay at a textile campsite, but enjoy naturism on the beach. I am not a member of the INF. Can naturism be practiced outside of campsites?
Apart from naturist campsites, there are numerous combined campsites in Croatia, consisting of textile and naturist areas. On top of combined campsites, along the Adriatic coast you will also find textile campsites which offer naturist, isolated beaches to their guests. I have already stayed at the campsite I now wish to book. Can I book a specific pitch or mobile home?
We are not in the position to book the desired specific pitch or mobile home. Upon making the booking, we will very gladly mention your preference in order for the campsite to, depending on availability, take it into consideration. You will be issued with the number of your pitch or mobile home at reception upon your arrival at the campsite.
If we don't like the pitch reserved for us, can we choose another one?
If you don’t like your pitch or mobile home, contact the campsite reception. Depending on availability, reception will do their best to find you a pitch or a mobile home to your liking, making sure that you get the category of the pitch or mobile home which you have booked.
I made my booking online. How will I know whether the booking has been confirmed?
Following the booking processing and entering of your personal details, you will receive by email the booking confirmation, together with all the terms and conditions, the policy of cancellation and related information about the booked campsite. If, for some reason, you do not receive the confirmation, please

What currency can I use while staying in Croatia?
As Croatia is not in the Eurozone yet, all services and products have to be paid in the local currency – kuna. The daily rates of kuna as opposed to euro can be checked on

I am interested in a campsite situated on an island. How can reach the island?
An excellent choice! Croatian islands abound in campsites – small, textile, naturist, combined. The connections between the islands and the mainland are excellent, especially in high season. Some islands, such as Krk, Pag, Vir, Murter and Čiovo are connected to the mainland by bridges. What documents are required in order to check in at the campsite reception?
Upon your arrival at the campsite, it is necessary to report to reception with a valid ID card or passport, in order to be entered into the Guest Book and your stay at the campsite registered. The documents will be returned to you on the date of your departure or upon full settlement for the services provided.
We haven't arrived on time at the campsite. Can we get in by car during the night?
Depends on the campsite which you have booked. At the majority of campsites, between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. is the period of peace. Report to reception upon your arrival and check with them the possibility of entrance. Most of the campsites allow entry to guests who have booked a mobile home, while guests with caravans or camper vans have the possibility of spending the night at the campsite car park.
We would like to spend our holiday with friends, on two pitches. Can we book adjoining pitches?
We are not in the position to book adjoining pitches. Upon reservation, we will very gladly mention your preference of having adjoining pitches in order for the campsite to, depending on availability, take it into consideration. You will be issued with the number of your pitch at reception upon your arrival at the campsite. The same applies to mobile homes.
I have chosen a mobile home for my holiday. What do I need to take with me?
At the majority of campsites, mobile homes are equipped with cookware and cutlery. Some of them have a microwave oven, a kettle, coffee machine and a dishwasher. For some mobile homes, accurate lists of their inventory can be found on the web pages of mobile homes at the desired campsite. All mobile homes are equipped with bed linen and towels for all guests – either free of charge or at extra cost.
Is it permitted to barbecue on pitches or on mobile home terraces?
It is not permitted to light fires at campsites and barbecuing is allowed only using gas or electric barbecues. Should you wish to have coal barbecues, some campsites allow barbecuing on fixed barbecues, provided on pitches or in barbecue zones – intended for use by all campsite guests.
