Mobile home villages for 2+ families

In the summer, several families often go on vacation at the same time to enjoy a seaside holiday together. This might prove to be more difficult to arrange than it sounds. If they choose camping in mobile homes, they need several units for all the family members and pets. To make their choice easier, we’ve compiled a list of campsites where several families can really spend their holiday together.

Campsites cannot always guarantee that you will be staying in neighboring units (but this is easier to arrange if you book well in advance). However, if you choose units within a mobile home village, you can be sure that all the families will be staying in the same area of the campsite. The same applies if you are going to a campsite with a large group of friends or an organized group of people, such as athletes or work colleagues on a team building trip.

Themed mobile home villages

In campsites throughout Istria, mobile homes are not always arranged in rows and lines, but are sometimes grouped according to a common theme. You’ll find mobile homes arranged in a circle, with terraces facing each other, making it easier for guests to socialize, while being partially separated from the rest of the campsite. Often the main attraction of the village, be it the swimming pool, playground or something else, is at the center of these ‘districts’. The themes vary from cottages decorated and furnished in the style of fishing villages to forest villages or color-coordinated units.

Below we have listed the themed mobile home villages on the Croatian coast that still have availability for this season, so you can get together with your family or friends and book 2 or more units close to each other and enjoy a pleasant summer holiday in the best of company.

Aminess Maravea Camping Resort – Mirami Village

Aminess Maravea Resort near Novigrad is an excellent family campsite with beautifully landscaped pitches and almost 300 mobile homes. These are spread across the campsite in various themed villages, of which we would like to highlight the Mirami Premium Village. This is a quiet area, away from the main attractions, but still close enough to the beach and playgrounds. The main attraction of the village are the three swimming pools – many guests don’t even go to the beach as they can literally take a refreshing dip right in front of their terrace. The village also has a barbecue area and a children’s playground. If you choose units at Mirami Premium Village, all families or groups will be close to each other.

​Lanterna Premium Camping Resort – Maro Village & Happy Dog Village

Lanterna Premium Resort is one of the largest campsites in Istria, covering an area of 83 hectares near Poreč. It is basically a seaside camping town with many facilities such as various swimming pools, sports fields and playgrounds, restaurants, bars and shops, a market and even a theatre.

There are two villages that stand out among the many in this campsite: The first is Maro Village, which is located between the two receptions at the edge of the campsite, along a narrow road, and is therefore a little further away from the beach – which is not a problem as there is a swimming pool in the center of the village where all the members of your holiday party can take a dip. Good WiFi coverage and the fact that this is a car-free area (you can park your car in the car park just outside the village) are the main reasons for choosing one of Maro Home’s 4+2 mobile homes (or 6+2 with 3 bedrooms for even more space).

Lanterna is also very popular with dog owners. They may feel a little neglected elsewhere, but at this campsite they even have their own mobile home village: the Happy Dog Village. It is located in the northernmost part of the campsite, where their furry friends will not disturb anyone during their playful romps. The Happy Dog Home 4+2 and 6+2 mobile homes are just 70 metres from the beach, which is of course dedicated to dogs, and there are plenty of other attractions for them nearby, from an agility course to a dog parlor, a shop and even a doggy daycare service. Ideal for holidays that bring together several families with puppies.

Campsite Veštar – Oasis Family

Camp Veštar is another popular campsite near Rovinj, with over 230 mobile homes and 560 beautifully landscaped pitches. The excellent pebble and sandy beach with plenty of natural shade and the fact that your pet can stay with you in any unit are among the reasons to visit, in addition to the first-class facilities at the campsite, which earned it the ADAC Superplatz award in 2023. This year the campsite has gone one step further and has been awarded the 5th star in its rating!

Recommended campsite village? Oasis Family. It’s a real oasis in the lower left part of the campsite, just above the car parks (there are no cars in the village so parents don’t have to worry about their children’s safety), close to the beach and the bar. The neatly furnished grey Oasis Family mobile homes are arranged around the village’s main attraction – the shallow pool (a larger pool with additional attractions is just a few steps away). This is no ordinary pool: to further protect the children from the sun while they play, a canvas has been stretched over the pool so that they can play all day in the pleasant shade while their parents relax on the sun loungers nearby. As we said, the village is a true oasis of comfort and relaxation.

Campsite Polari – Premium

Of course, we can’t talk about Veštar without mentioning its neighboring campsite, Polari, which is a little closer to the center of Rovinj. It is a slightly larger campsite with almost 1700 pitches, many with electricity and some with drainage.

In addition to the pitches, the campsite also has more than 370 mobile homes, which are arranged in villages with numerous shallow pools, ideal for families or groups of friends to take a dip together. One of these is the Premium Village. Similar to the one in Campsite Veštar, this village is also a car-free zone where everything is about relaxation and enjoyment – and to ensure peace and quiet, pets are not allowed. Choose 2 or more Premium mobile homes so the whole family can enjoy the swimming pools, barbecue and all the other comforts of a mobile home such as a large terrace, air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen.

Krk Premium Resort – Bella Vista Home

Let’s leave the mainland and hop on the island of Krk. Near the island’s largest town you’ll find Krk Premium Resort. As the name and 5-star rating suggest, it’s a superb family campsite that rises gently from the sea, giving the mobile homes in the Bella Vista Home village an ideal view of the bay. The centerpiece of the village is the swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers and parasols and a children’s playground. For groups or several families with young children, the Bella Vista Home 4+2 mobile homes are the ideal choice.

Of course, the swimming pool in the village is not the only one on the campsite – just a few steps away, close to the beach, there is also a pool complex with waterslides and a wellness area. The campsite is pet-friendly with a dog beach on the far right and pets are welcome in all units except Bella Vista Chalet. Another special feature is the proximity of the nudist beach, which you’ll find right next to the campsite (if you continue along the coast from the exit on the far left of the campsite).
