Future Town Hotel

Alleys are corridors, and at the entrance to the town is reception. It's an idea we can't wait to see come to life.

Bale, a charming medieval stone town in the heart of Istria, delights visitors with its history, natural beauty and authentic charm. Its narrow streets, vineyards and olive groves, interspersed with fragrant fields and picturesque farmhouses, offer a true experience of the Istrian way of life. With top quality olive oil, Bale is the perfect destination for gourmets and nature lovers.

Bale’s special feature is its wealth of flora and fauna, and the town is home to as many as 390 species of butterflies, which have become its symbol. Walking through the area, you will often see these colorful inhabitants fluttering among the plants and flowers, contributing to the fairytale atmosphere. But Bale is not only a place of natural beauty – history lovers can explore numerous medieval churches, old palaces and other historical landmarks that preserve stories from times gone by.

The Multimedia Center Ulika, located on La Musa Square, is one of the main attractions in Bale. The center’s exhibition is divided into 2 themes: dinosaurs and birds. Visitors can see fossils that are about 200 million years old, found in the sea in 1992, which is why Bale was included in the World Register of Paleontological Sites. In another part of the center, ornithology enthusiasts can explore the world of birds that inhabit this area. In addition to models of indigenous Istrian birds, you can also listen to their distinctive sound.

Thanks to the dedicated work and entrepreneurial spirit of its inhabitants, Bale is on its way to becoming a Town Hotel. The aim of this idea is to transform the whole town into a unique hotel, where its picturesque streets will become corridors and the reception will be located at the entrance to the town. All the more reason to visit!

Bale is also a place that harmoniously blends history and modernity. From exploring dinosaur fossil remains to enjoying local cuisine and sunsets among olive groves, every moment in Bale tells a special story that invites you to return.
