3 campsites in Istria reaching for the stars: Valkanela, Veštar & Amarin

We have been delighted to learn that three campsites in Istria have been awarded an extra star in the campsite categorization, joining the ranks of the best campsites in Croatia. This is great news for guests who have already booked at one of these campsites and will enjoy the new features. It’s also an extra incentive for those who are just deciding which campsite to choose.

Which campsites are we talking about? Let us introduce them according of the number of stars.

Campsite Valkanela****, Vrsar

With access to 4 different types of beaches and a wide range of entertainment and activities for visitors of all ages, Valkanela is the ideal campsite for a family holiday. There is a swimming pool complex in the middle of the campsite, with a pool for adults and one for children.  Right next to the complex there are beach bars and restaurants.

Last year the campsite got a new, modern reception area and new mobile homes by the sea. On the other hand, this season’s improvements are focused on the entertainment and leisure facilities. Later this year a new children’s playground and a sports center with various playgrounds will be added to the campsite.

Campsite Amarin****, Rovinj

This family campsite now has 4 stars, which are well deserved. In addition to the campsite’s superb location, you’ll be impressed by the beautiful Mediterranean nature and the proximity to the beach. With spacious pitches, modern mobile homes and perfectly situated glamping tents, the campsite has everything you need for a comfortable family holiday by the sea.

In addition to the new mobile homes with an outdoor fireplaces and a glazed terraces, the campsite has a brand new reception and a supermarket. A new complex is also being built by the sea, with a wellness center, swimming pools and a restaurant.

Campsite Veštar*****, Rovinj

Campsite Veštar has been awarded 5 stars this year, which is the maximum in the campsite categorisation. The sandy beach, swimming pools, sports fields, restaurants, bars, … There is nothing you could possibly be missing at this campsite. The family mobile homes have shared swimming pools and the camping pitches offer a beautiful sea view.

In recent years, the campsite has renovated all the sanitary facilities and the swimming pool complex. There is also a new reception and sports center. This year, pitches with electric vehicle charging points have been added, and the central square and restaurant have been redesigned. There are also new facilities for children. A new animation club, Maisky, and a new mascot for the children’s club: Sky the dragon.
