Campsites with mobile homes are a great choice for the Christmas and New Year holidays. They are heated, have their own kitchen and bathroom, 2 or even 3 bedrooms and a terrace where you can enjoy the good weather. New Year’s Eve parties are usually held on the terraces and the mobile homes are decorated for the festive season beforehand.

Several campsites with mobile homes will be open during the New Year period in Croatia. Most of them are in Istria, but some are also open in Kvarner and Dalmatia. The most interesting campsites for New Year’s Eve are those near the cities where concerts will be held. Poreč, Vrsar, Pula, Krk, Mali Lošinj, Zadar and Split are some of the most popular options by the sea.

San Servolo Resort & Wellness Camping, Buje – open all year round

As this campsite is open all year round, guests can enjoy its many facilities whenever they want. This includes swimming in the heated outdoor pool (30-32 degrees in winter) and using the wellness area with saunas, a relaxation room, hot tub and gym. There is also a heated indoor pool for adults next to the campsite. And if you get hungry or thirsty, you can choose between a pizzeria and a restaurant, both of which serve Istrian craft beer San Servolo.

There are two types of mobile homes available for New Year’s Eve (minimum 3 nights). The Agava Luxury mobile home offers a private hot tub for up to 5 people, while the smaller Lotus Premium is perfect for a couple’s getaway. Prices start from €202 per night.

Valamar Camping Istra, Funtana – open until January 5th

A great choice for a family vacation in mobile homes, as the campsite offers children’s entertainment and indoor playgrounds. During the Christmas season, the campsite will have several restaurants open. There will also be a shuttle service to the nearby Diamant Hotel near Poreč, where guests can enjoy the indoor pool, wellness area and fitness center. Since many guests are expected at the hotel, it is necessary to make a reservation for swimming at the campsite reception.

If you want to be active during your vacation, you can go for a walk or ride a bicycle along the sea, or play sports on the floodlit fields (basketball, soccer, table tennis). The campsite also offers a fitness center and mini golf.

The price for renting a mobile home over the New Year period starts from € 82 per night. These are modern houses for 4 to 6 people with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a spacious terrace with a large barbecue. Heating is provided by air conditioning.

Campsite Arena Stoja – open all year round

Camping Arena Stoja has been upgraded to 4 stars this year, as it is constantly being modernized and renovated. This includes the opening of a heated sanitary building with private bathrooms and a restaurant that will be open all year round. The campsite is very popular with dog owners who are well catered for. There are private showers for dogs and a fenced area for walking and running. Dogs are also allowed in the mobile homes for an additional fee.

The center of Pula is within walking distance, but you can also take the city bus, which stops at the campsite reception. For longer walks and bike rides there’s the beautiful Lungomare promenade that goes all the way to the Verudela peninsula. Throughout the month of December, Pula is full of events. One of the most notable is the Advent Market, which is going to be held in the Arena and include an ice rink. On New Year’s Eve you can enjoy concerts by Petar Grašo and Elemental in the evening, or take your children to a New Year’s Eve party in the afternoon.

Campsite Omišalj, Krk – open all year round

What can you expect in Omišalj in December? Beautiful decorations, the Christmas market and various events and concerts. If you want to experience all this, the best place to stay is Camping Omišalj. It is a modern campsite with plenty of sunny pitches and mobile homes. It should be noted that this year the campsite has decided not to organize any special holiday entertainment and the restaurant and shop will be closed. Guests will still have access to outdoor play areas for children and a mini zoo with farm animals.

Mobile home rentals over the New Year period for up to 6 people cost between €92 and €110 per night for the central part of the campsite. The second row of mobile homes costs from €127 and the first row from €139 per night.

Valamar Camping Ježevac, Krk – open until January 5th

Every year the town of Krk organizes a colorful Advent event with a market and concerts, mostly on weekends. You can also expect a festive program in the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

To explore all that Krk has to offer, stay at Valamar Camping Ježevac, right next to the town of Krk. During the holidays, the campsite will have an open restaurant, some children’s entertainment and heated sanitary facilities.

Only a few mobile homes are still available for the New Year period, with prices starting from €80 per night.

Campsite Čikat, Mali Lošinj – open all year round

Campsite Čikat invites you to a New Year’s Eve camping in a decorated campsite and a New Year’s Eve dinner in the restaurant (extra charge) accompanied by live music. On January 1st noon the campsite will organize the traditional swimming in the sea. This year, guests will also be able to swim in the pool of the Punta Hotel in Veli Lošinj.

The campsite is an ideal starting point for walks along the sea, cycling, enjoying nature and visiting the festively decorated Mali Lošinj. The town always prepares an interesting program for the holiday season. It starts with the lighting of the Christmas tree at the beginning of December and ends with the New Year’s Eve concert of the band Night Express.

Campsites in Dalmatia

Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar – open all year round

Falkensteiner Premium Camping is located in the northern part of Zadar, which gives guests easy access to the city center. The restaurant Amore will be open during the New Year period and the wellness center for adults only with saunas and a small heated pool will be open from December 28th to January 1st. An exception will be made for children every day between 8:00 and 10:00.

There is also a hotel next to the campsite where guests can swim in the heated indoor pool. The extra charge for the pool is €10 for adults and €5 for children between the ages of 6 and 15, while younger children are admitted free of charge. Adults who wish to use the hotel’s wellness area with swimming pool pay €27 per person.

Zadar is full of events, concerts and stalls in December, and there’s also a big New Year’s Eve party. From the 28th to the 31st of December, between 11:00 and 17:00, the campsite will organize a special festive program with entertainment, music and gastronomy. And on New Year’s Eve, you can take your children to a party with fireworks at noon. There will also be a New Year’s Eve dinner at the campsite and at the hotel.

Renting a mobile home for New Year’s Eve will cost from €90 per night for a small mobile home (2+1 guests), from €128 per night for a larger two-bedroom mobile home for 4+1 guests and from €147 per night for a three-bedroom mobile home for 6+1 guests.

Campsite Amadria Park Šibenik – open until January 5th

This year for the first time Amadria Park Šibenik will be open over the New Year period. The campsite is located about 6 km from Šibenik.

At the beginning of November, a new indoor water park, Aquapark Dalmatia, will be opened in the Amadria Resort. The aquapark includes swimming pools, water playgrounds, water slides and a wellness area.

The campsite has a wide range of mobile homes available for the New Year period. You can choose between smaller mobile homes for up to 5 people, with prices starting from €47 per night, and larger mobile homes for 6+1 people, with prices starting from €68 per night. New Year’s packages are also available with various activities, use of the swimming pools and a New Year’s Eve party.
