New Campsite on Pag: Aminess Avalona Camping Resort
Campsites in Croatia are among the best in Europe and this year a new campsite is being added to the offer: Aminess Avalona Camping Resort on the western part of island Pag will open at the end of April. It features family-oriented facilities, several swimming pools, a variety of fully equipped camping pitches, mobile homes and glamping units.
Pag is famous for its lunar-like surface and beautiful pebble beaches. The island is also known for Pag cheese, Pag salt, Pag lace and the centuries-old olive trees of Lun in the north of the island. On the western side of Pag, there are several “green oases” with Mediterranean vegetation, where various campsites are set up: Most campers are familiar with the excellent campsites Straško and Šimuni, and the newer ones like Olea, Terra Park Phalaris and SpiritoS.
NEW – Aminess Avalona Resort *****
In spring this year, more precisely on Friday, 26 April 2024, the new campsite Aminess Avalona Resort will open right next to Povljana in the south of Pag.
The campsite is located 13 kilometers from Pag town and is accessible via ferry from Prizna or over the Pag bridge in the south. It’s set up on the Rastavac peninsula, making the eastern side of the campsite perfect for sun lovers, while the pine trees on the western side provide some extra shade. Aminess Avalona Resort is a modern 5-star campsite that meets the criteria for the ADAC Superplatz title. It will be open from the end of April until mid-October. It features mobile homes and glamping units alongside fully equipped camping pitches and there is capacity for about 1,800 guests in total.
Campsite details
A special feature of the campsite is the fact that many pitches and mobile homes will have their own private pools. There is also a water park with bigger swimming pools and 5 water slides, the largest of which will be 12 meters high and 76 meters long. Pools will be heated and swimming will be possible from May until September, depending on the weather.
The beaches at Aminess Avalona Resort are themed, ranging from a family-oriented beach, a beach for relaxation and a glamping-themed beach. And since pets are welcome in the campsite, a dog beach is also included. There is an illuminated walking path along the sea. As the campsite is focused on family holidays, a large part of the facilities will be dedicated to children’s entertainment, including the well-known Aminess Miramì animation. The campsite will also have a STEM park, where children will gain knowledge and boost their creativity and logical thinking through play. There will also be a swimming school and playgrounds for children.
The campsite will offer three different restaurants, cafés, a patisserie, a bakery and a grocery store. With everything available on-site, guests can enjoy the best offer without leaving the campsite. Sports activities will also be available, including gym classes, basketball, football, tennis and mini golf courts, a fitness center, as well as the rental of SUP boards and e-bikes.
Camping at Aminess Avalona Resort
The front part of the Aminess Avalona Resort includes 320 pitches, all of them equipped with electricity, water and drainage. There will also be 32 Mega Luxury pitches available by the sea on the left and right sides of the campsite. Those are the largest pitches (200 m2) that also include a private pool.
In the central area, there are Premium, Superior and Comfort pitches, measuring 100 m2, and a small unassigned/open camping zone. Guests can use either of the three modern sanitary facilities which are adapted for children and disabled persons. The camping area will include dog showers and a waste station for campervans.
Mobile Homes & Glamping Villas
In total, there will be over 230 mobile homes available and 118 of them will have their own private pool next to the outdoor terrace. Special attention has been paid to the interior design of the mobile homes, which are available with two or three bedrooms (the Family model) – one with a double bed, the others with two single beds. All mobile homes have two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a living room and a covered terrace with a seating area and two sun loungers.
Two types of mobile homes will be available:
– Premium mobile homes with 32 m2 of surface, suitable for either 4 + 2 or 6 + 2 persons.
– Luxury mobile homes with a private pool, 39 m2 of surface, suitable for 4 + 2 persons, located right by the sea.
The Luxury Mare Glamping Villas are located in the north-eastern part of the campsite, overlooking the bay of Povljana with Velebit mountain range in the background. The 30 exclusive Adria Sky Twin Glamping Villas, set by the sea, are very spacious with a surface of 60 m2 and two double bedrooms for 4 adults, plus additional sleeping areas for 2 children in the living room. There is also a kitchen, a living room and two bathrooms inside. All glamping units have a private pool and a lounge terrace.
