Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar is a 5-star campsite located in the northern part of the city, so you can quickly reach the old town, take a pleasant walk through the narrow streets and visit the sea organ – a natural musical instrument where the sea waves flow in and out of the hollowed-out holes under the promenade and the pipes, built into the marble steps, catch the sound and produce a unique melody.
Just a few meters away is the Forum – a square dating back to the Roman times, close Zadar’s main town gate and the walls that once protected the city from invaders. You’ll also find the Square of the Five Wells nearby. Be sure to visit Zadar’s Market Square, see the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, the largest church in Croatia, and the Church of St. Donatus.
Plenty of activities in Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar
The Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar has 270 beautifully landscaped pitches, 86 mobile homes and 13 glamping tents in the upper part. The campsite also has a large sanitary facility with heating, children’s playgrounds and an entertainment center.
Enjoy the entertainment activities organized at the campsite and the hotel. Many of them are designed for children, who can have fun with mascots, take part in themed painting, enjoy evening film shows, etc.
Events
- TOČ festival (20-23 June) – Gastronomic and lifestyle festival with good food, music, workshops and body&mind sessions.
- EURO 2024 (14 June – 14 July) – Big screens for guests to watch every single match of the tournament while enjoying good food and drinks in a friendly atmosphere. There will also be entertainment events organized throughout the month to accompany the matches.
- GRANFONDO 2024 (19 October) – Bicycle race all the way to island of Vir and back. Two routes: the shorter one of 56km and the longer one of 128km. Before and after the race, participants can enjoy wellness treatments at the Acquapura Thalasso Spa.
Swimming pools & Wellness
The campsite has an on-site wellness area, including Finnish and Turkish saunas, a small heated outdoor pool and a fitness center. The wellness area is for adults only and is free of charge for guests staying at the campsite. Only massages and beauty treatments are charged additionally.
However, as many families are expected to visit the campsite in the spring/early summer, they can also use the hotel’s spa and heated swimming pool at the Acquapura Thalasso & SPA center Borik – the extra charge for a full day’s swimming is € 10 per person, € 5 for children aged 6-16, and the admission is free for younger children. The price for the pool and spa is € 27.
The large outdoor swimming pool with waterslide is open since the end of April (weather permitting).
Pitches, mobile homes and glamping tents
The 270 camping pitches on the campsite are well maintained and organized. They are very spacious, with up to 185m2, many of them are set right by the sea, with plenty of natural shade. All of them provide electricity, water and drainage. The modern sanitary facilities even offer private family bathrooms.
Mobile homes are available at Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar throughout the year. They have smaller units for 2 people (perfect for couples on romantic getaways) and larger ones for 4 to 6 people which can accommodate families. The largest ones have three bedrooms, so they can comfortably sleep up to six people. All mobile homes have their own kitchen and bathroom as well as stunning covered terraces where you can enjoy your morning coffee and evening sunsets.
From April to October, you can also sleep in glamping tents. The larger family tents for 5-6 people offer a kitchen and a bathroom.
All mobile homes and glamping tents have air conditioning, providing cooling as well as heating. Pets are allowed in all accommodation units except glamping tents.
