Football fans are counting down the days to EURO 2024. With the event kicking off just before the summer break and ending in mid-July, many are curious to know which campsites will show the matches on big screens in a real fan atmosphere. Here are some of our suggestions.

This year’s European Football Championship in Germany starts on 14 June and runs until 14 July, with 24 national teams taking part. Many people will be going on camping holidays during the tournament, and watching the game alone on your TV is never as much fun as cheering on with your fellow fans. Anyone who has ever watched a major sporting event within a colorful crowd from all over Europe will know the euphoria and adrenaline that sweep over the fans of the two national teams competing on the big screen. From sports banter to betting and the agreement that the fans of the losing team will pay for a round of drinks for the winners.

As tourist destinations in Croatia will be flooded with guests from all over Europe, many campsites have decided to organize big-screen broadcasts of the matches, and some will also have a packed entertainment program to accompany the broadcasts. And rest assured, there will be no shortage of beer.

Western coast of Istria

Perhaps the most imaginative idea for watching the matches comes from the Mon Perin campsite (halfway between Rovinj and Barbariga). The campsite, known for its top-quality accommodation and exceptional facilities, which this year include a new wellness center with indoor and outdoor pools and saunas, has decided to put up a big screen in the middle of the bay, not far from the shore. Guests will be able to sit on the beach or in the Babaloo Beach Bar and enjoy the spectacular games, complemented by a beautiful sunset in the evening. We were also told that wellness enthusiasts may not even have to leave the pool complex to watch the games (more on this at the campsite). And, of course, food and drink will be provided.

As well as Mon Perin, you can also watch the games at campsites Veštar, Valkanela, Amarin and Polari. There will be a number of TVs at various locations around the campsites (close to food and cold beer). And at campsite Polari there will be a larger area where guests can watch the games on a big screen.

Campsites close to Zadar

Campsite Falkensteiner Premium Zadar will also be showing the matches on a number of big screens, with live entertainment. The campsite, which is committed to wellness and relaxation, will ensure that the cheering takes place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Afterwards the spectators can cool down their joy after a win or their disappointment after a defeat with a night swim or a walk to the center of Zadar.

Still close to Zadar: the Zaton Holiday Resort has also confirmed that guests will be treated to real football fever. Match broadcasts and an exceptional animation team will ensure that the atmosphere is ideal for watching the intense battles throughout the month of competition.

Dalmatia

Further south along the Croatian coast, campsite Jezera Lovišća on the island of Murter and campsite Stobreč near Split have already confirmed that guests will be able to watch the matches live on big screens. At Stobreč, the matches will be shown in the restaurant, on the terrace next to it and in the nearby bar.

These campsites are just some of the opportunities to watch EURO 2024 matches during the camping season, and more campsites are sure to follow.

Watching the matches on town squares

Watch the games in the town squares
Not only in campsites: During your holiday, you can also watch European Championship matches in several city squares across Croatia. The biggest event is of course set in the Ban Jelačić Square in Zagreb, where up to 50,000 people are expected during the EURO 2024 highlights (especially in the group stage: Croatia vs. Spain on 15 June and Croatia vs. Italy on 25 June).

In addition to Zagreb, Zvončac Square in Split will also host match coverage, and preparations are underway for Osijek. For those of you on holiday further south, you can also watch the matches in Mostar if you decide to leave the Adriatic coast for a day.

Fully flexible booking

Due to the uncertain travel situation, it is important to book flexibly. At AdriaCamps you can cancel this accommodation free of charge up to a few days before your arrival.
