Late spring and early summer often bring us surprisingly sunny and warm days which attract plenty of tourists and daily visitors to the coast. However, due to the water temperatures swimming in the sea is usually reserved for the bravest of swimmers only. Luckily there is another option for those who want to enjoy a dip in the water even before summer arrives: Campsites with heated pools.

There are plenty of options when it comes to heated pools at campsites in Croatia. You can choose among indoor and outdoor pools, shared and private pools, large pools for swimming or smaller ones with jets for hydromassage – whatever your preference, you will find the perfect option at one of our campsites on the Croatian coast.

Istria

As the region with the most campsites it is no surprise that Istria is also the part of Croatia where you will find the best selection of campsites with heated pools.

The first one is campsite San Servolo near Buje, which means you can find a campsite with a heated pool before you even get to the coast. It has 2 heated swimming pools, one outdoor and one indoor, as well as a fantastic wellness center. The campsite is open all year round so you can enjoy swimming there regardless of the season.

Lanterna Premium Resort is one of the largest campsites in Istria and you can find the heated pools in its upper part: The pool complex is called Aquamar Lanterna. There are also heated pools in the Maro Premium mobile home village and one in Punto Blu.

Funtana offers two campsites with heated pools: Campsite Polidor has two shared heated pools which enable swimming from the beginning of May until the end of September. There are also mobile homes with pools which are covered in winter so that they can be used all year round.

The other is the Istra Premium Resort. It has a water park called Aquamar, with pools and slides. The heated water makes it possible for the water park to open as early as March. As you would expect you can also rent a mobile home with a heated pool next to it – and an amazing sea view to top it off.

Another non-seaside campsite is the Banki Green Istrian Village near Tinjan. It opened in June 2023 and it offers a heated outdoor pool and heated private pools next to the mobile homes.

Close to Rovinj you can find the campsite Val Saline with a small heated pool next to the wellness center.

Still close to Rovinj, or should we say a walking distance from its center, is the campsite Porton Nature Hideouts. During its recent renovation several luxury modular mobile homes were added, most of them with a private heated pool.

Next up is a real wellness oasis: Campsite Mon Perin near the historic town of Bale. With the latest addition of a brand new wellness center, they now also have a heated indoor pool. There is also a small heated pool/jacuzzi next to the campsite’s large pool complex called Paleo Park.

Moving further down to the south of Istria you come across the town of Fažana with its BiVillage campsite. It has a pool complex where the water in one of the pools is heated to about 22°C.

Crossing over to the eastern side of Istria you can also find a campsite with 2 small heated swimming pools: at campsite Marina Camping Resort close to Labin.

Kvarner

For the largest selection of heated pools within campsites in Kvarner, you should head to the island of Krk. The 5-star campsite Krk Premium Resort, just outside the town of Krk, offers two heated pools with waterslides. The pool next to the restaurant is heated up to a pleasant 28°C.

The offer is similar in the campsite across the bay, Ježevac Premium Resort. It has a heated pool (up to 28°C) with a waterslide, open from April – October.

Still on the island of Krk and still heated up to 28°C is the swimming pool and the children’s pool at campsite Baška Camping Resort.

A small heated swimming pool is also available in campsite Glavotok on the western-most part of the island.

The last option on the island of Krk is at campsite Slamni: A new swimming pool has recently been built (not heated, though), and you can also take a dip in the outdoor hot tub.

There is one other campsite in Kvarner with a heated pool – actually two of them: Campsite Padova on the island of Rab, in the town of Banjol. Those two pools are heated up to 27°C.

Dalmatia

Going further down south along the Croatian coast there are still quite a few campsites with heated pools. The first is again on an island: The island of Pag. Close to Novalja at Campsite Terra Park Phalaris you will find some amazing mobile homes and many of them have a private heated pool next to them.

The pool paradise at campsite Zaton Holidays Resort near Zadar wouldn’t be a real paradise for families if the water in those pools wasn’t heated – and that includes the children’s pool as well. This makes it possible to extend the swimming season from April to October.

Zadar has another campsite that offers an amazing wellness experience: Campsite Falkensteiner Premium Zadar offers massages, saunas, jacuzzis and a heated outdoor swimming pool. Worth noting: The wellness and the swimming pools are for adults only. There is another pool available at the nearby hotel as well.

On the west coast of the island of Ugljan is campsite Ugljan which also has a pool with heated water. As it is very shallow, it’s perfect for kids and for leisurely dips while enjoying the beautiful surroundings which include a garden where guests can pick their own vegetables and fruit.

Last but not least is the campsite Bunja on the island of Brač. This boutique campsite with beautiful mobile homes offers a small heated pool above the beach which gives you plenty of privacy and an amazing view of the sunset.

Close to Zagreb

There are also several thermal spas in the vicinity of Zagreb. Campsite Vita is set right next to the large Water Planet complex with both indoor and outdoor pools and a wellness center, while Camping Terme Jezerčica offers outdoor swimming pools and there is also an option for guests to use the indoor pool at the nearby hotel.

So, there you have it: There is no reason to postpone the water fun, while we wait for the summer to really kick in. At all of these campsites you are already welcome to book a pitch or a mobile home and dive into one of the pools without experiencing the cold shock response.

Fully flexible booking

Due to the uncertain travel situation, it is important to book flexibly. At AdriaCamps you can cancel this accommodation free of charge up to a few days before your arrival.
