The picturesque towns of Labin and Rabac together make up one of the most popular tourist destinations in eastern Istria. Rabac is situated on the coast and is known for its white pebbled coves, and on a hill 5 kilometres away is the city of artists – the charming town of Labin.
In Labin, walk the stone streets lined with cafes and art studios in the old town centre on the hill. The old town centre is a unique blend of tradition and modernity, and the Labin mine is a fascinating insight into the town’s mining history. If you are longing for the pleasures of the sea, in the former fishing village of Rabac you will find beaches with a crystal-clear sea.
Our camps in the area of Labin and Rabac will satisfy a wide variety of tastes, and they all have in common the picturesque nature of the Mediterranean. The majority of the camps are located right by the sea, with both rocky and pebble beaches. From a small, intimate campsite to a diving mecca, all camps offer spacious pitches for up to 7 people. The pitches close to the sea have a special touch of Mediterranean idyll, where you can even bring your pets with you. For many people, a swimming pool close to the pitch is an essential part of the holiday, especially if it is a family trip. Combined with the activities organised by the entertainment team, the pools can keep the little ones entertained for hours on end. You can also enjoy the pool – refresh yourself in the adult pool or relax on a sun lounger overlooking the sea. At Marina Camping Resort you’ll find a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the sea that also doubles as a scuba diving training pool. At Floria Glamping Garden you can combine a dip in the pool with a pampering at the campsite’s spa centre – what better combo could there be?
Almost every campsite in the Labin and Rabac area is located right by the sea. This means that you can wake up on your pitch to the sound of the sea, have a coffee in the shade of the Mediterranean trees and take a leisurely walk to the pebble or rocky beach. There are also beaches for dogs if you are travelling with your pet. For those who prefer an active holiday, water sports are a must. Explore the hidden coves of Rabac in a kayak, explore the underwater beauties with experienced divers, or soak up the sun on a pedal boat. The possibilities are endless, and if you can’t decide on just one, why not try them all?
If you want to spend your holiday in a campsite but don’t have a caravan or other camping equipment, you should consider renting a mobile home. Not only will you be able to relax with a high level of comfort, but you can also enjoy a spectacular sea view. All mobile homes are modern, air-conditioned and have 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and up to 2 bathrooms. Each mobile home has a covered terrace with seating and sun loungers and is surrounded by Mediterranean greenery.
For an even more special holiday at the campsite, you can choose a glamping tent – from the air-conditioned interior and covered terrace to your own pool or jacuzzi, there is no shortage of luxury. Up to 2 bedrooms ensure a comfortable stay for 4 people and pets are also welcome.
Marina Camping Resort is located on a green peninsula south of Rabac. The campsite is ideal for families thanks to its pebble beach with fun activities such as pedal boats. The swimming pool complex with heated children’s pool is a safe and fun place for the little ones. Most of the pitches are located along the coast and all of them have electricity and water connections. You can choose pitches up to 120 m² in size and some pitches come with a barbecue. The camp is also known as a scuba diving oasis with an excellent diving centre. You can also choose from a wide range of other fun outdoor activities, from riding a rental bike to kayaking around the bay overlooking the Kvarner Islands.
The Dubrova Sculpture Park is located on the main road just outside Labin. It is one of the most popular local spots for walking, socialising and picnicking. It covers 33 hectares of Mediterranean greenery. It is the result of the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium, to which artists have been contributing their sculptures since the 1970s. The use of Istrian stone is particularly important, and you can visit all the works along the path known as the White Road.
In addition to the sculptures, you can also visit the Dolac amphitheatre, where art events are often held in the summer. You can visit the park in any season – it is open all year round and is free. It is also possible to arrange group tours with a local guide if you call beforehand.
