Photo & Video – We visited the Aminess Planet Camping Sirena

Due to its location and the fact it has three campsites, Novigrad has been a popular destination for camping enthusiasts for many years. One of the campsites there is the Aminess Planet Camping Sirena, which has a few updates in store for this camping season. That’s why we decided to visit it in early July to check out all the updates firsthand and bring you come photos of the work that’s been completed.

About the campsite

Aminess Planet Camping Sirena is located on the southern side of Novigrad, which is very close to both Slovenia and Italy. The campsite is only a 15-minute walk from Novigrad’s city center, and many guests prefer to walk in the evening to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the sea. Novigrad has a lot to offer as a camping destination, and you can find recommendations from locals in our article.

The campsite offers a lot of shade, and it is located next to two Aminess hotels. While staying at the campsite, you can use the indoor pool and wellness center at these hotels for an additional charge.

But you don’t have to venture out of the campsite to have a good time. Sirena offers 2 large children’s playgrounds, mini golf, a bar, a restaurant and a communal area with barbecues. The campsite beach is mostly rocky with some pebbly parts and an area for dogs. And if you head along the beach towards Novigrad, you can discover another pebbly beach with a saltwater pool and a water park in the sea.

Camping pitches

The first part of the campsite has camping pitches located on small terraces. Most of them have excellent shade from pine trees and are close to several sanitary facilities.

The second part of the campsite has the first two rows arranged as camping pitches with palm trees. While these pitches do not provide much shade, having a palm tree on your pitch is something really special. These pitches are equipped with electricity, water, and drainage, making them ideal for campers and motorhomes.

New Adria mobile homes

Almost the entire second part of the campsite has been renovated this year. This area is located on a plateau above the sea and it is where the mobile homes are located. Most of the older models have been replaced with new ones from the Slovenian manufacturer Adria Dom.

These are the most modern models for 4 to 5 people. The Premium models have a surface area of 34 m², and the Luxury ones a surface area of 41 m². They are equipped with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen with a living area, and a terrace.

All mobile homes have air conditioning (heating is also available), and there are smaller communal swimming pools next to them. Twelve mobile homes also have private swimming pools. All swimming pools in the mobile home village are heated.

A few Classic mobile homes for 4 to 5 people (24 m²) are still available at the back of the campsite. They are located at the beginning of the mobile home village and are more affordable. It’s also good to mention that pets allowed in all mobile homes for an additional fee.
