50 years of Gardaland and a new attraction

gardaland-headline-pic

Gardaland, an amusement park right by Lake Garda, opened in 1975. It attracts about 3 million visitors each year. In 2025 it will celebrate its 50th anniversary, which will be marked by a new attraction, Animal Treasure Island. We invite you to combine your holiday in one of the campsites on Lake Garda with a visit to Gardaland.

Gardaland is one of the largest amusement parks in Europe with many attractions, and it is particularly interesting for families, as children can enjoy fun rides and carousels that are perfect for their age, or visit the land of Peppa the Pig. Teenagers will spend the day on the more adrenaline-packed rides such as Raptor, Blue Tornado, Oblivion, Space Vertigo, Shaman and Magic House. The LEGOLAND Water Park is also open in summer and offers swimming pools, water slides and water games. Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium is just 100 metres away, offering an insight into the underwater world.

New features in Gardaland for 2025

For its 50th anniversary, a new attraction, Animal Treasure Island, is being built to replace the old attraction called Corsari. So far, Gardaland has presented a short announcement showing a video with a few glimpses about the newest attraction. A coin with the new Gardaland logo can also be seen in the video.

Animal Treasure Island will be an interactive adventure where you will board the ship and follow the map which will take you to unexpected places. You’ll meet several interesting characters along the way and your job will be to determine, who is there to help you and who is trying to prevent you from finding the treasure.

Opening times and admission prices

The amusement park Gardaland will be open from 5 April until 2 November. In December it will be open on weekends and then from Christmas until New Year’s. Outside the summer season, Gardaland is open between 10:00 and 17:00/18:00, except on certain days when it opens at 09:30 and stays open until 20:00. During the summer the park is open from 10:00 to 23:00.

Admission prices for Gardaland vary throughout the season. During the pre-season special promotion the price for both children and adults is €49 (normal price €56). If you buy tickets online, the prices are always lower. Also children up to 90 cm in height enter for free.

Several special events will take place this year with the Gardaland’s 50th Birthday Party on Saturday, 19 July being the most important one. Other big events include the music-filled Stars Night marking the end of summer on 6 September and the traditional Halloween Party on 31 October.

Camping close to Gardaland

Choose one of the campsites near Gardaland and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Lake Garda, known for its mild climate. Already in May the weather is perfect for cycling along the lake or the Mincio river all the way to Mantova.

The first campsite we’d recommend is Camping Village Gasparina, which is right by the lake and very close to Gardaland (20-25 minutes’ walk). It offers well-equipped pitches and different types of mobile homes, with a swimming pool and children’s play areas open in summer.

Campsite Bella Italia is known for its excellent entertainment, children’s playgrounds and large swimming pools. It has lakeside pitches and mobile homes, and is 4 km from Gardaland, so you can go there by bike.
