Koversada Covered – The new textile campsite in Vrsar

Campsite-Koversada-Covered-Air-View

The Koversada campsite in Vrsar will now be divided into two parts – Covered (textile) and Uncovered (naturist). We have checked what new features will be introduced in the new textile campsite, which will also include the Koversada island. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge and is intended for tent camping. There will be lots of new facilities for children, new camping pitches and modern mobile homes, as well as an improved catering and recreational offer.

The new textile part

By the start of the 2025 camping season, scheduled for mid-April, Koversada Covered will have new pitches in the central area, plus new mobile homes and a large children’s playground, which will also be used for animation. The campsite will be open until 5 October.

The whole concept of the new campsite is  designed for guests to enjoy a wide range of additional facilities and entertainment for children, as well as gourmet local delicacies. Vrsar as a tourist destination also offers many possibilities for an active holiday or to simply enjoy the seaside.

A renovated reception will serve to both the textile and the naturist sections of the campsite. You can check the division line between the two on the map of either of the campsites.

The 1.5km beach of the new Koversada Covered campsite is very varied. Guests can enjoy a sandy bay, and pebble, concrete and stone beaches. One of the most beautiful parts is the pebble beach at the beginning of the islet, to the right of the bridge.

There is also a designated part of the beach with an easy access to the sea for disabled persons, and two well-maintained and clearly marked dog beaches at the far left and far right side of the campsite.

Space for more than 1,000 camping units

The new camping pitches will be located in the vicinity of sanitary facilities 9 and 10. There will be a total of 670 camping pitches of 100 – 120 m2, the rest of the grounds will be unplotted.

There will be some new special pitches available:

– 20 pitches with private sanitary facilities: a toilet and a shower

– 11 pitches with barbecue and carport

– 22 pitches with a wooden playhouse for children

The unplotted area on the island is still meant for tents only (electricity hook-ups available), and there will be some agency glamping tents as well. The island is not accessible by vehicles, so guests have to leave their cars in the parking lot. The Batana restaurant on the island will remain open, as well as the café.

Sanitary facilities 9 and 10 will be renovated over the winter and there will be a total of seven facilities in the textile section.

New mobile homes for couples and families

The mobile home village in the southern part of the campsite will be completely redesigned and is expected to open in early June. There will be 141 new mobile homes in total, located right next to the new children’s and entertainment area, so they will represent the perfect choice for families.

The larger mobile homes for 4 or 6 people will have two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious terrace. All mobile homes will be air-conditioned and dogs will be allowed for an extra charge.

The mobile homes for couples will be the further away from the playgrounds, and they will have the best views of the sea. They will be equipped with a double bed, kitchenette, bathroom and terrace.

Improved entertainment and catering offer

Koversada Covered will have a brand new entertainment center for children, including play areas, animation and evening events.

The campsite will introduce the MaiSky Kids Club animation, where Sky the Dragon will be entertaining and educating children.

For sports enthusiasts, there is a large sports center in front of the campsite (renovated in 2024), with courts for beach volleyball, football, mini-golf and table tennis. SUP boards, kayaks and bicycles will also be available for hire there. A diving center is set up at the neighboring Camping Porto Sole.

The campsite’s location is perfect for walks and cycling by the sea, with paths going as far as Funtana and Poreč. You can also choose one of the paths above the Lim Canal.

The Feral Trattoria restaurant will be further improved with the introduction of the MaiEats concept, based on the use of seasonal local ingredients in the preparation of dishes. In addition to meat and fish dishes, they will also offer burgers and bruschetta.

The changes for 2025 in campsite Koversada are substantial and the transformation from a naturist only campsite is no small feat. However with smart investments and improvements the campsite aims to retain its former naturist appeal while also attracting new types of guests. We’re certain that everyone will appreciate all the efforts put into these upgrades.
