Obonjan: Glamping Holidays in Tents and Mobile Homes

Are you considering a somewhat different holiday this year? The exclusive Obonjan Island Resort is usually only available for closed group bookings. In the past it regularly hosted the exclusive music festival Mars Island, organized by the 30 seconds to Mars front man and Hollywood actor Jared Leto.

This year the resort is also available to couples and families who want a real break from the everyday stress. Enjoy the peace and tranquility, the uncrowded beaches, relax in the wellness center under the pine trees, and spend your evenings enjoying all the culinary delights and the starry skies.

The island of Obonjan, close to Šibenik and the Kornati archipelago, is home to a glamping resort with luxury tents and mobile homes. Guests are brought to the island by a tourist boat where they can enjoy their dream holiday.

During the 2024 season, Glamping Obonjan will be open for individual holidaymakers: From 31 May to 13 June and then from 7 July to 5 September. The rest of the season is only available for private groups.

Glamping tents and mobile homes in Obonjan Resort

The Obonjan glamping resort offers a variety of luxury accommodation options in different shapes and sizes. The glamping tents and mobile homes all include a terrace with sun loungers where you can enjoy romantic sunsets. Breakfast is included in the price, and other meals are available in one of the resort’s restaurants.

Bell glamping tents: The smallest units, suitable for 2 or 4 people
They are equipped with a double bed or twin beds, offer air conditioning and are pet-friendly. These tents do not have their own bathroom, but there are shared modern sanitary facilities nearby.

Forest Lodge glamping tents for 2 or 4 people
These tents are larger, with one or two bedrooms, and also air-conditioned but they all have a private bathroom. The living room is connected to the outdoor terrace, so they offer an authentic glamping experience. A great choice for families with children, these larger tents offer plenty of space and comfort, and again: Dogs are allowed.

Sun Lodges: Modern, air-conditioned mobile homes for 2 or 4 people.
The smaller ones have a double bed, a bathroom and a terrace with amazing sea views. The larger ones have two bedrooms, so they are more suitable for families. All of them are pet-friendly.

Beaches, restaurants and activities

The beaches on Obonjan are mostly rocky, the central beach offers sunbeds and a diving board, which always proves to be a kids’ favorite.

There is also a swimming pool in the upper part of the resort, near the bar, which offers additional entertainment and a quick bite (pizza or burgers). To unwind and recharge your batteries, we recommend a visit to The Zen Den, a natural wellness area for massages and yoga.

During the day, you can go kayaking or climb on a SUP-board to explore the neighboring islands, e.g. Zmajan or Mišjak Mali, or you can dive into the sea with a mask and flippers.

After dinner in either Bok or Kitchen restaurant, you can enjoy your evenings listening to music at the bar or visiting an event at the Pavilion or the Amphitheatre. You can watch the sun go down from the Sunset Deck and stay there late in the night since the distance from all major cities reduces the light pollution so you can enjoy the beautiful views of the starry sky before turning in for the night.
