Upgrades at campsites Bijela Uvala and Zelena Laguna in Poreč

Poreč is one of the most recognizable tourist destinations in Istria and even along the entire Croatian coast. In the southern part of the town you will find campsites Bijela Uvala and Zelena Laguna, which belong to the Istra Camping group together with the campsites in Savudrija and Umag. For the 2024 camping season, they have prepared quite a few new features.

Campsites Bijela Uvala and Zelena Laguna are right next to each other, they even share a beach. There is a walking and cycling path along the coastline all the way between Poreč and Vrsar, which is perfect for family strolls.

A delicious ice cream in Poreč will be a stimulating reward for a 30-minute walk. If you don’t feel like walking that much, you can also take the tourist train to get there and back.

Campsite Bijela Uvala, Poreč – plenty of shade, various sports fields and a beach for dogs

Campsite Bijela Uvala is one of the largest campsites in Istria, offering plenty of shade from the surrounding oak trees. It provides just over 1,000 pitches (from 60-120m2 in size), most of them dedicated to camping, with the rear part of the campsite reserved for agency-managed mobile homes. The campsite received a score of 4.5 from the German car association ADAC.

This year, the campsite will be open from 24 April to 29 September. It is known for its long and diverse shore, which combines concrete and pebble beaches, and many of them offer plenty of shade. There is also a beautiful dog beach on the left side, which is why this campsite is one of the favorites among dog owners, who regularly spend their vacations here.

There are swimming pools in three locations: The old one is right by the sea, several freshwater pools are in the upper part of the campsite, and you can find the two recently built swimming pools on the left side of the campsite.

Zone G was completely renovated last year, with 130 new pitches added; 12 of them even have a private bathroom on the pitch itself. In addition, sanitary block 7 was renovated, just like sanitary block 4 a year earlier.

The park next to the shop has been completely redesigned. A large children’s playground, an indoor playroom and an animation club were added. The campsite also offers well-equipped sports pitches for football, basketball, volleyball and tennis.

NEW: Upgraded swimming pool with slides and renovated sanitary facilities

The swimming pool complex in the central part of the Bijela Uvala campsite will be upgraded in time for the summer season, with four new water slides for children, a water playground and a renovated sunbathing area.

A new children’s playground will also be built near the swimming pools in the central part of the campsite, right next to the sanitary block 2, which will also undergo a complete renovation this year.

This modern facility will include children’s toilets, a baby changing room, a laundry room, dog showers, a chemical toilet waste area, refrigerators and, of course, facilities for disabled people.

Campsite Zelena Laguna, Poreč – pleasant, quiet and perfect for families

The slightly smaller of the two campsites is called Zelena Laguna, which has just over 700 pitches (60-110m2 in size), most of which are on a flat lawn close to the reception office, with a few additional pitches on a terraced hill with beautiful sea views.

Some pitches are completely out in the open; those are very popular in spring and autumn, when guests are trying to catch as much sun as possible. Campsite also offers some agency-managed mobile homes at the back.

Campsite Zelena laguna will be open from 24 April to 29 September during the 2024 camping season.

The beach at the campsite is mostly concrete, but there is a small part in the bay with a pebble beach. You will find two large slides for children on the right part of the beach and guests can also walk along the sea to the big pebble beach at campsite Bijela Uvala. There is mooring possibility for guests with boats.

The freshwater swimming pool is located right by the sea and the campsite also features a water park with children’s playgrounds and an animation area, as well as a small basketball and football court. There is a large tennis center near the campsite, and cable wakeboarding is available in the bay next to the campsite.

NEW: Renovation of sanitary block 4

Last year, sanitary block 2 was completely renovated in campsite Zelena Laguna, and this year sanitary block 4 will be given a similar makeover. It will become one of the most modern facilities in Croatian campsites.

The campsite will be adapted for people with disabilities and it will include children’s toilets, a shower for dogs, a room with refrigerators, a laundry and the possibility for campervan owners to empty their chemical toilet.

All these upgrades will make the already well equipped and maintained campsites even better to provide you with an unforgettable holiday experience.
