The island of Lošinj attracts visitors with its beautiful natural environment, dotted with pine forests. Due to its location, camping on Lošinj is popular from spring to autumn, as the climate is mild. Just a few kilometers from Osor, the “border” between Cres and Lošinj, you can find the village Nerezine with campsites Lopari and Rapoća.
The island of Lošinj is well connected to the island of Krk, with ferries running all day on the Valbiska – Merag line. There is also another line, directly connected with the mainland: Brestova – Merag. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Nerezine from the Merag port. Nerezine is a small village at the foot of Osorščica mountain, which is a popular hiking area.
The campsite Lopari is located 2 km before Nerezine, and a new walking path has been built along the renovated road that goes by the campsite.
The campsite Rapoća is located right next to Nerezine. This gives you easy access to bakeries, shops, restaurants, etc. Both campsites offer well-equipped pitches as well as mobile homes.
Lopari is the larger of the two campsites and has received a number of new features in recent years. The entire campsite is now divided into pitches, with the Premium pitches by the sea offering electricity and water. The new Superior pitches are set in a central area. Its quiet location next to a sandy and pebble beach ensures pure relaxation. As they also have a dog beach, your pets are welcome too. There is a sports center with basketball, football and mini-golf courts. A surfing center is open in the summer as the conditions are ideal for learners. The campsite also has a shop and a restaurant. There are two toilet blocks on the campsite: The newer one by the sea was built two years ago and it is a very nice and modern facility with private bathrooms.
New this year is the Osor Vista Village, located at the far left side of the campsite, overlooking the town of Osor. A total of 40 spacious mobile homes will be set up, each with 43 m2 and two bedrooms to accommodate 4+2 people. The staff are working hard to improve the pitches and mobile homes for the 2024 season, with the restaurant terrace and children’s playground also being renovated.
Campsite Rapoća offers plenty of shade on most of its pitches and is popular with tent campers. This campsite has also been divided into pitches in recent years. The Premium pitches are the top of the range, with electricity and water hook-ups, set in the shade of the pine trees.
The campsite is ideal for families as it is small enough for parents to easily keep an eye on their children. The beach is mostly rocky but there is also a sandy bay within the campsite and concrete sunbathing areas. There is a nice café by the sea. There are two sanitary blocks, a children’s playground and, in the summer, a beach volleyball court. The campsite also has a shop and a restaurant.
The mobile homes at Campsite Rapoća are situated in two locations at the back of the campsite. All mobile homes have two bedrooms for 4+2 people. There are also the newer Superior mobile homes, which are 34 m2 and therefore more spacious than the Comfort mobile homes, which are 24 m2 and more affordable. Dogs are welcome in all mobile homes.
Both campsites are an excellent starting point for a hike to Mount Osoršćica. It takes just under two hours to walk to the top of Sveti Mikula (557 m), where there is a church and a beautiful view of the islands of Lošinj, Rab and Pag, and all the way to Istria on the other side.
There are plenty of reasons why there are so many guests returning to Lošinj each year. If you aren not among them yet, try either of these two campsites (or both!) and you just might become a regular guest there too!
