In Croatia, glamping is most common in Istria. Almost every Istrian campsite offers various tents. Different capacities, colors and shapes, in attractive positions they attract the attention of visitors. Charmingly decorated and usually made of natural materials, they contain equipped kitchens, several bedrooms, bathrooms and, of course, most importantly, covered terraces. What does the word "glamping" mean?
The word "glamping" is a combination of two words: "glamorous" and "camping". Glamping is a type of camping that is more comfortable and luxurious than traditional camping. Glamping tents in Croatian campsites offer guests an outdoor camping experience with a touch of luxury.
If you like to spend time in nature, but you are not the type for classic camping, glamping tents are the right choice for your next vacation.
What are the glamping tents in the campsites in Croatia equipped with?
Most glamping tents have a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, air conditioning and a spacious covered terrace. In the kitchen you will find basic dishes and appliances for preparing meals. Depending on the capacity and size, glamping tents have 1-2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, and their capacity is usually for 2-6 people. The covered terrace is equipped with deckchairs and a table with chairs.

In which campsites can I find glamping tents with a shared/private pool?
You will find a shared or private swimming pool and/or jacuzzi at the following campsites (glamping tents):

The price of a glamping tent with pool/jacuzzi is slightly higher than other types of glamping tents at other campsites in Croatia.
Where can I find glamping tents with sea views?
You can find glamping tents with sea view in the following campsites:

• Istria: Campsite Park Umag, Lanterna Premium Camping Resort, Istra Premium Camping Resort and Campsite Arena One 99 Glamping (ex. Arena Pomer)

• Dalmatia: Obonjan Island Glamping Resort

Usually the glamping tents located on the seafront have a sea view, while other types of glamping tents have a sea view depending on their location and position.
Also, as an agency, we cannot guarantee you a first row glamping tent or a glamping tent with a sea view, as either the campsite reception or the glamping tent owner is in charge of distributing the numbers. However, we are happy to hear your preferences when you make your reservation and we will pass them on to the campsite or glamping tent owner who will do their best to accommodate you.
You will see the exact location of the glamping tent by the sea by clicking on the "Zone" section next to the desired accommodation unit in the list.
Are pets allowed in the glamping tents?
In general, glamping tents in Croatia allow 2 pets per glamping tent (you can check the exact number in the description of each accomodation unit). There is an additional fee for pets in all glamping tents. The fee is based on the current year's price list of the campsite or glamping tent owner and is charged per day.
The fee for pets depends on the period of stay (pre-season, post-season, high season), but you will see the exact price during the booking process. In most Croatian campsites, the pet fee is paid at the campsite reception desk.
Is the use of the pool free for glamping tent guests?
Glamping tent guests can use the swimming pools on the campsite for free, plus some campsites have a water park, which is also free for glamping tent guests. Some campsites also have a private pool or jacuzzi.
What facilities are available to glamping tent guests at Croatian campsites?
All campsites have restaurants and most also have bars, shops, bakeries, etc. In addition to the facilities listed above, most campsites have an animation program for children and adults that runs from mid-June to mid-September.
Most campsites also have children's playgrounds, then multipurpose playgrounds, and various fields for sports activities (beach volleyball, soccer, tennis, basketball, etc.). Also, campsite guests can enjoy a handful of fun activities at sea, such as renting pedal boats, kayaks, SUPs, but also surfing, scuba diving, sailing, etc.

Are sun loungers and umbrellas free for glamping tent guests at Croatian campsites?
Guests of glamping tents will be charged for the use of sunbeds and umbrellas at the beach/swimming pool according to the current price list of the campsite for the current year. In most cases the price is for a package: 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella for 1 day. Payment is made daily and is subject to availability on that day, so it is not possible to reserve sunbeds and umbrellas for the entire stay. Free sunbeds are available to guests on the glamping tent terraces (if a particular glamping tent has sunbeds).
What is the average price of a glamping tent and is it necessary to book in advance?
The average price of a glamping tent (for one week) in a 4-star campsite in Croatia is €1,100 - €2,200 in the low season, while in the high season the price is €2,800 - €3,600.
The price of the accommodation depends on the number of people (i.e. the size of the accommodation), the period of stay (holiday), the level of equipment, the availability and the location itself (near the sea). In some glamping tents the tourist tax, bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included in the price, while in others they are charged separately. You will find detailed information on the page during the booking process.
In order to get additional discounts and book your accommodation at the best price, we recommend you to book in time, during the "Early Booking" period (November-February).
What are the booking and cancellation conditions for glamping tents?
To reserve a glamping tent, some campsites require a deposit or advance payment (depending on the pricelist selected), and the rest is calculated at the campsite reception. On the other hand, when booking individual glamping tents, it is necessary to fill in the credit card information, which in this case only serves as a guarantee, while the final billing of the services is done at the reception.
If you have already made a reservation, in some campsites it is possible to cancel it until a few days before the trip, while in others it is not possible to cancel it free of charge (depending on the selected price list). In the latter case, the deposit/total amount will be retained or the credit card will be charged according to the terms and conditions.
