Istria

Here’s a list of events in Istria from 6 to 22 June, divided into different categories.

Dance and Music

• Cave Romane (Vinkuran): Gates of Agartha , 5-8 June: Electronic music festival with world renowned DJs and stunning visuals taking place at the spectacular Cave Romane quarry.
• Marčana: MIK – Melodies of Istria & Kvarner, 7 June: A traditional ethnic music festival and song contest, taking place in a different Istrian town each year.
• Rovinj: Salsa festival, 9-16 June: Experience sea, sun and salsa in Rovinj! The popular dance will take over this charismatic coastal town for a full week.
• Pula, Portarata Square: Pula Pride 2025, 21 June: The 2nd pride festival taking place at the main square of Pula. Expect plenty of colors, music, fun and open-mindness.

Food and wine

• Funtana, Town’s Marina: Fisherman’s festival, 6-7 & 13-14 June: Enjoy the best local food, fresh from the sea and the local vineyards, accompanied by live music.
• Vrsar-Orsera: Historical fair below the castle, 7 June: Travel back to the 17th century and experience the food and customs of that time.
• Fažana: More na stolu, 21 June: Watch the sunset by the seaside, with some good food, wine and music. A unique local experience.

Tradition, arts and culture

• Novigrad: Ruke, 9-10 June: Exhibition of local arts and crafts products that you can buy and free creative workshops to learn about ecology.
  
• Magical Novigrad, 14-15 June: Street performances, magicians, art, music and workshops that help you and your children dive into the world of magic.
• Rovinj: Mercatino, 16-17 June: Arts and crafts festival in Rovinj. Support the local artists and see their paintings, sculptures, cosmetics, jewelry and food products.

Sports and recreation

• Novigrad: Transadriatica, 6-7 June: A traditional sailing regatta from Venice to Novigrad where the crews meet during social and sport gatherings.
• Umag: International oldtimer rally, 7 June: Come and see some rare old, even pre-war cars and motorcycles that their owners proudly present in this exhibition event in Umag.
• Medulin: European Harley Davidson rally, 12-15 June: The legendary motorcycle brand has hundreds of fans in Europe and this year they will present their bikes in Medulin.

Kvarner

Kvarner as a region is a bit more diverse since it includes islands, so hopping from one event to another is not as simple. But there is still plenty of things to see and do during your holiday and with some clever planning you can visit several of them on a single trip. So, let’s see the events that Kvarner has to offer, again divided into 4 categories:

Dance and music

• Rijeka: Rijeka Summer Fest (pop and rock): 20 June: A 2-day festival with some of the best Croatian musician; a perfect mixture of pop, rock, electro, hiphop and even jazz.
• Krk: Krk Music Fest, 20-22 June: Food trucks and music – the perfect combination to celebrate the world music day. Attend events at 3 locations around the town.
• Opatija: Željko Joksimović – Open air concert, 20 June: The legendary Serbian singer, a Eurovision contestant, will create a unique musical experience beneath the stars.
• Mali Lošinj: Festival of Wind Orchestras, 7 June: This traditional festival brings the best Croatian wind orchestras together for an evening of music, dance and food.

Food and wine

• Lopar, Rab: Štokaljfest, 12 June: Sea food festival @Camping San Marino. Enjoy the sandy Paradise beach with the star of the festival: the octopus.
• Lovran: Cherry Days, 14 June: They say that cherries from Lovran are sweeter than anywhere else. Try them in desserts, cakes or simply straight from the tree.
• Island of Cres: Creska butega, 17, 20, 24 June: The local fair that sells craft and food products @Cres main square is very popular among tourists.

Tradition, arts and culture

• Island of Cres: Days of Cres (Creski kaić 2025), 2-8 June: An entertaining and educational 6-day event full of exhibitions and workshops to remind us of how life by the sea used to be.
• Town of Krk: Kvarner Expo, 13-15 June: Trade and exhibition fair of local products and souvenirs from Croatia and wider Adriatic area, accompanied by workshops and entertainment.

Sports and recreation

• Island of Cres: Traditional Regatta, 7-8 June: The regatta in traditional batanas, pasaras and other boats, organized on the island of Cres to preserve maritime heritage and skills.
• Ravna Gora: Mountain madness, 21 June: Obstacle course and trail running for the most competitive athletes in 3 different events: 4, 8 and 12 km.
• Mali Lošinj: Zen Garden Yoga, 18-22 June: 5-day yoga retreat in the heart of Čikat. Meditation, midfullness and yoga to rediscover yourself.
