Campsite Pineta: a perfect vacation among pine trees by the sea

Campsite Pineta in Fažana is perfect if you are looking for a natural campsite with excellent shade among pine trees combined with a pebble beach. The campsite has been renovated in recent years, with new sanitary facilities in the central part and some mobile homes for rent near the sea.

Camping in the shade of pine trees

Campsite Pineta is located 1.5 km north of Fažana and 7 km from Pula. The part of the camp on the left side towards Fažana is sunnier and now has pitches with electricity by the sea, but there is still a large unplotted part, however there are a limited number electricity hookups there.

In recent years, the sanitary facilities in the central part have been renovated, as well as the reception, the restaurant, and the shop. Last year, a children’s playroom was added, and this year a TV room will be added so that children can have fun indoors in case of bad weather. Last year, children’s sanitary facilities were added to the building below the reception, and the children’s playground and the common area with barbecue facilities were renovated.

The beach at camping Pineta is mostly pebbly, with a smaller concrete section and a pier from which children like to jump into the sea. Part of the beach has natural shade and in the summer an inflatable playground is set up. SUP boards, pedal boats, and kayaks are available for rent. At the campsite you’ll find a basketball court, and there are several interesting cycling trails in the surrounding area. For families, the most suitable cycling route is the one that runs towards Fažana and then on to the Brioni campsite.

If you are vacationing at the Pineta campsite, we also recommend a boat trip to the Brijuni archipelago, which consists of 14 small islands located west from the shore of Fažana. A tourist boat runs from the town center to the main island of Veliki Brijun (during the season from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.). There is a hotel, a museum, and a safari park on the island, where animals (cattle, donkeys, sheep, mouflons, zebras, antelopes, llamas, and even an elephant) roam freely. For weekends and the high season, we recommend booking tickets for the boat in advance. You can walk around the island on foot, but it is even better to rent a bike or a golf cart.

Camping on pitches

The campsite offers around 300 shaded camping pitches in the central part, which are equipped with electricity and water. The pitches are very spacious, most of them measuring over 100 m2. Campsite Pineta no longer has a fixed price list, so prices are determined based on occupancy. We checked the current prices for weekly camping for two people:

• 7 nights in mid-June – the price for two people at the Forest pitch with electricity is from 216 €
• 7 nights in mid-July – the price for two people at the Forest pitch with electricity starts at 316 €

Mobile homes for rent at Camping Pineta

At Camping Pineta Fažana you can also rent mobile homes, which are located in the left, still shaded part of the campsite and are 100 to 200 metres from the sea. There are larger units of 32 m2 and smaller ones of 24 m2.

All mobile homes can accommodate 4 + 2 people, and the larger mobile homes have 2 bathrooms. All units also have a fully equipped kitchen with living and dining area, two bedrooms and a covered terrace. Dogs are allowed in the mobile homes at an extra cost and all mobile homes are air-conditioned.
