Coronavirus: What about the next trip?

Update_750x250

On 11th March 2020, the World Health Organisation declared the coronavirus outbreak, also known under the name of COVID-19, a global pandemic. Given that, during the past few months, we have been facing numerous challenges and uncertainties, we at AdriaCamps have been closely following the latest developments. Our aim is to obtain accurate and reliable facts, undertake all the necessary steps in a timely manner and remain at your disposal and ready to assist you in any way we can.

Although we all fully understand that coronavirus is having a large impact, not only on tourism in Croatia, but also at the worldwide level, we know that all this will pass, and that people will again be able to travel freely. What we wish to herewith share with you, our guests, are a few pieces of advice related to your travel.

  • According to a study by Oxford University, from the outset Croatia has been taking the most stringent measures to combat the pandemic. This results in low rates of coronavirus patients and deaths, and places Croatia in safe tourist destinations.
  • AdriaCamps manages the platform for mediation and booking, where all the booking terms are defined directly by the partners – campsites or agencies. For additional interpretation of the booking terms and support, feel free to contact us at reservations@adriacamps.com.
  • We are aware that upcoming tourist seasons in the whole of Europe will be extremely challeging and we have been negotiating with our partners to, for all our guests, ensure flexible booking terms, including maximally flexible terms of free cancellations, even up to only 2 days before arrival. Should you have any questions related to your existing or future booking, feel free to contact us at reservations@adriacamps.com.
  • Campsites and mobile homes are a more appropriate choice for a coronavirus vacation – because of the outdoors, the ability to maintain physical distance and stay in your own mobile home with your own sanitary facility.
  • In order to reduce waiting time at border crossings, foreign citizens are recommended to submit their data in advance via the form on entercroatia.mup.hr. Passengers who submit data in this way will not have to provide the necessary data at the border crossings because the border police will have this data in the system. Passengers will also receive an e-mail confirmation of the received data and all necessary information related to the instructions and recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
  • The European Union published on its website an interactive tool that provides the guests with the infomation they need to confidently plan their European travel, while staying healthy and safe.
  • On 11 May the Croatian Institute of Public Health published Recommendations for the operation of campsites and marinas during the the COVID-19 epidemic. Find out what protective measures against coronavirus await you in Croatian campsites.
  • Bellow you can find timely information concerning coronavirus, issued by the competent authorities.

Our priority now is to stay safe and healthy and, provided we observe the instructions provided by the competent bodies, we will together overcome this crisis and certainly have an opportunity for relaxation and enjoyment!
